Lately I’ve been craving a matcha latte, but hadn’t gone around to it until today! Luckily I stumbled upon it today as I scanned through rows and rows of drinks at 7. This matcha latte is part of the Bernachon Coffee series, which just keeps expanding their drink line. This was in a GLASS bottle which is new for Bernachon, and was the most expensive bottled drink at 7 of this size that I’ve ever bought before at 45元, which is around $1.50USD. So pretty fancy stuff. They also have something called “Italian Coffee” in a glass bottle, which I have yet to try.
Taste: This matcha latte was delicious. Maybe I’m biased because I love matcha lattes, and this was perfectly cool and refreshing on this hot Taichung day. The milk tasted fresh and natural, and I could tell it was not made from powdered milk. It had a good balance of matcha to milk.
Flavor: The matcha flavor was just right: not too strong not too weak. You do get a dry matcha after taste though like you would with other matcha lattes.
Would I get it again? Yes! This was pretty good…I actually couldn’t stop drinking it as it smoothly went down my throat, and finished it pretty quickly. This was the first bottled matcha latte I’ve ever had, and it’s definitely up there compared to freshly made iced matcha lattes.
I decided for my next review, I’m going to try a drink that I normally wouldn’t get. Maybe something that even looks unappetizing. I feel like I have too many positive reviews…so stay tuned for the next!
